Saturday Morning Sights at Downtown Sarasota’s Bayfront Park

What fabulous weather in Sarasota right now! Snuffy and I, along with our friends Sandy and Lucy took a long walk this morning on Sarasota’s Bayfront. We encountered lots of doggies and their owners along the way as well as morning walkers and joggers.
Looking out to the bridge, Sandy spotted a dolphin close to shore. I tried to get the shot as it slipped past, but as you can see from the picture, I got just a tiny tip. What a beautiful sight with the bridge and Golden Gate Point in the background!

Over by the “Unconditional Surrender” statue of the kiss, Lucy was given quite a welcome by a group of friendly Sarasotans. She felt as though she won the Saturday morning marathon!

Lucy is a 14 year old Basset/Shar-Pei, and everyone always asks "what is she?"  I always say "she's Lucy!"  A very special lady!

And not to be outdoneby Lucy, Snuffy posed by the shoe at the famous statute as he grabbed a little breath from our walk.
